Trauma and Stress

Somatic Experiencing was developed by Peter Levine, Ph.D, to treat unresolved trauma, stress-related disorders such as PTSD, and accumulated stress. While some cases require additional expertise for medical reasons, I work with clients who need help processing:

  • Adverse childhood experiences

  • Inescapable attack

  • Physical injury

  • Medical and surgical trauma

  • Pre- and perinatal trauma

  • Natural disasters

  • Grief

  • And other events that have impacted a person’s physical and mental health

Psychedelics and Altered States

With the growing popularity of psychedelic therapy, more people are turning to complementary treatments that support their healing and growth. As a certified psychedelic-informed practitioner, I help people prepare for and integrate psychedelic experiences, as well as other non-ordinary states of consciousness. Unlike most approaches in this field, mine is anchored in somatics to help ground you in safety so that you can more comfortably do the important work of self-discovery in and out of the psychedelic space.

For those whose return to the world has been challenging after an intense (or traumatic) psychedelic experience, somatic work can be an effective process for bringing you back into your body and finding clarity in chaos.

Growth and Development

If you want to get to know yourself deeply, spend time working with your internal landscape. Together we’ll explore the wisdom of your body to get to understand your relationship dynamics, decision making, patterns of behavior and characteristics that impact your life. Somatics can be the missing piece that traditional psychotherapy hasn’t addressed, providing insight and movement where you’ve felt stuck, from interpersonal communication to meeting goals to finding peace and satisfaction in the everyday.
